Event information
Tennis Australia is partnering with Blind Sports NSW to re-introduce the Vision Impaired Tennis program to NSW with the next session taking place on Saturday 11th January 2020 at Blacktown Leisure Centre Tennis Courts in Stanhope Gardens.
Tennis is a great sport for all ages and vision categories, it doesn’t matter if you have never played before or if you want to be the next Roger Federer or Ash Barty - this program is for you!
Vision Impaired Tennis is launching categories to cater for B1, B2, B3 and B4 participants. The adaptions involve the court type/size, an audible ball, double bounces, server communicating with receiver before serving and a one set with tie break model.
The cost to participate is just $10 per session, and everyone is welcome to attend. For more information on the program or to register your interest, please email the State Inclusion Coach, Steve Manley at SManley@Tennis.com.au.
